Manuel Figueroa‑Bolvarán is a Chilean double bassist whose studies with leading pedagogues across Chile, Poland, Germany, Brazil, Canada, and the United States have shaped his versatile artistry. He’s performed with ensembles and orchestras such as the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the National Symphony Orchestra of Guatemala, the Frederic Chopin University Symphony in Warsaw, the Orchestra of the Americas, and many others; premiered works at major contemporary music festivals in Chile; and contributed as soloist and recording artist to many works, including a Latin Grammy–winning album with pianist Gabriela Montero.
